The Department of Pharmacy Services, in collaboration with the Indus University of Health Sciences (IUHS), successfully conducted the Graduation Ceremony for Batch-02 of the Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course on Friday, 13th June 2025. The event celebrated the achievements of participants who completed the intensive course designed to enhance clinical competencies among pharmacists.

The session commenced with a soulful Tilawat-e-Quran by Shams Ur Rehman, followed by a Welcome Address by Mr. Sheikh M. Saad, who also served as the event moderator.

Dr. Aslam Shah, Chief of Pharmacy Services, elaborated on the objectives and background of the course, highlighting the vision behind this initiative and its alignment with international standards for clinical pharmacy practice. He appreciated the continuous support from leadership in enabling professional growth within the department.

Mr. Muhammad Hamid, Course Focal Person, then provided a detailed Course Introduction, outlining the structure, learning modules, and participant outcomes. He emphasized the role of skill-based training in transforming the future of pharmacy practice in Pakistan.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the Leadership Insights session delivered by Dr. Zafar Zaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) and Dean of IUHS, along with Dr. Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Medical Director of Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN). Both leaders appreciated the dedicated services of the Pharmacy Department and acknowledged its efforts in capacity building and professional development of the Pharmacists. They also emphasized the strategic importance of clinical pharmacy training and spcialized Clinical Pharmacist in improving patient outcomes and strengthening the healthcare system.

Dr. Arif Ali Arain, Head of Pharmacy Services, delivered the Closing Remarks, congratulating the participants and recognizing the efforts of the organizing team, faculty, and mentors. He also announced that admissions are now open for Batch-03 of the Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply.
