Ms. Nida Ghouri represents Indus Hospital & Health Network at Global Forum on Bioethics in Research

Indus Hospital & Health Network proudly announces that Ms. Nida Ghouri, Manager — Analysis and Research Training Unit and member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), represented the organisation at the Global Forum on Bioethics in Research (GFBR) held on 18–19 November 2025 in Accra, Ghana.

The meeting, themed “Reimagining Research Partnerships: Equity, Power and Resilience,” convened ethicists, researchers, policymakers and global experts to discuss equitable and resilient research collaborations.

Ms. Nida Ghouri actively participated in panel discussions and sessions, sharing perspectives on ethical challenges faced by the Global South, and advocating for fairer research funding and partnerships. Her interventions emphasised practical steps to strengthen equity in research collaboration and to improve access to resources for southern researchers.

The forum provided Ms. Nida Ghouri with opportunities to network with international delegates, members of the Steering, Planning and Organising Committees, and fellow experts. She gained insights into emerging ethical issues and best practices for global research partnerships — learning that will inform our institution’s approach to research governance and collaboration.

Indus Hospital & Health Network extends its appreciation to the GFBR organisers for a well-structured and thought-provoking meeting. We congratulate Ms. Nida Ghouri for her professional representation of the institute and look forward to her continued leadership in promoting ethical and impactful research.

The knowledge and contacts gained at GFBR will support ongoing efforts to strengthen research ethics, capacity-building and equitable partnerships within Indus Hospital & Health Network. We will continue to translate these learnings into policy, training and practice across our research units.
