Department of Pharmacy Services, Indus University Hospital Karachi Marks Milestone with Batch-003 Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course Graduation

The Department of Pharmacy Services, Indus University Hospital Karachi, successfully organized the Graduation Ceremony for Batch-003 of the Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. The ceremony commemorated the successful completion of this structured training program, conducted in affiliation with IUHS, and specifically designed to strengthen clinical competencies and enhance professional practice among pharmacists.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address delivered by Mr. Muhammad Hamid, who also served as the moderator for the ceremony.

Dr. Aslam Shah, Chief of Pharmacy Services IHHN, outlined the vision, objectives, and background of the Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course. He emphasized the critical role of structured clinical training in advancing pharmacy practice and improving healthcare delivery. He also acknowledged the unwavering support of institutional leadership in fostering professional growth and continuous development within the department.

The participants were commended for demonstrating exceptional learning behavior, active engagement, and full participation throughout the duration of the course. Their enthusiasm, commitment to skill enhancement, and dedication to professional excellence were highly appreciated.

Mr. Arif Ali Arain, Head of Pharmacy Services IHHN-Karachi, delivered the closing remarks and congratulated the graduates on their achievement. He recognized the dedicated efforts of the organizing team, faculty members, and mentors in ensuring the success of the program. During his address, he also demonstrated practical applications of clinical pharmacy skills, guiding participants on how to effectively integrate these competencies into their daily practice to ensure safe medication practices, enhance patient safety, and achieve improved healthcare outcomes. He further announced that admissions for Batch-04 of the Clinical Pharmacy Skills Course will be opening soon.

The ceremony concluded with a certificate distribution segment. Certificates were presented to the graduates by Dr. Aslam Shah (Chief of Pharmacy Services), Mr. Arif Ali Arain (Head of Pharmacy Services), Mr. Abdul Manan (Manager Pharmacy), Mr. Tazil Zafar (Manager Pharmacy), and Mr. Muhammad Hamid (Deputy Manager Pharmacotherapy Services), who commended the graduates for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to clinical excellence. In addition, Letters of Appreciation were awarded to the teaching faculty members in recognition of their valuable contributions, mentorship, and commitment to academic excellence.
