Indus Faculty Publishes Study on AI Awareness in Medical Education

A recent study conducted by faculty from the Department of Health Professions Education, Indus University of Health Sciences, has been published in the National Journal of Health Sciences (Vol. 10, Issue 3, 2025). The paper, titled “Awareness and Perception Regarding the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among Teaching Faculty at Indus Hospital and Health Network”, was authored by Madiha Ata, Sadia Rehman, Shafaq Sultana, and Raheela Rafique.

The research explored the awareness, perceptions, and readiness of teaching faculty to integrate AI tools into medical education. Findings revealed that while 77.5% of respondents were aware of AI applications, most had not received formal training. Younger faculty members showed greater enthusiasm toward AI use, while participants highlighted the need for structured faculty development programs to enhance AI literacy.
