Introduction
The One-Year Executive Weekend Diploma in Hospital Infection Prevention & Control (DHIPC) is designed for working healthcare professionals seeking advanced knowledge and practical skills in infection prevention and control. The program follows the same curriculum, standards, and assessment structure as the regular diploma program and is delivered in a flexible weekend format. This program prepares participants to lead, implement, and monitor effective IPC strategies in healthcare settings, ensuring patient safety and compliance with national and international standards.
Program Details
- Duration: 1 Year (3 Semesters)
- Mode: Hybrid / Online / IUHS-LMS
- Classes: Saturday & Sunday
- Class Timing: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Frequency: Two classes per week
- Theory: 32 Weeks & Hands-on: 16 Weeks
- Examinations: End of each semester
Teaching Methodologies

- Formal didactic Lectures including PPT, handouts, articles, videos, and others as needed.

- Microbiologists
- Registered Nurses (RN) with Midwifery
- Generic BSN
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience required

MBBS, BDS, Microbiologist RN + Midwifery and Generic BSN
Documents Required
Professional Degree, CNIC, Valid License, Experience letter, N.O.C required for TIH candidates/employees

Candidates who have passed a previous aptitude test in HIPC-009 may be eligible for direct enrollment new applicants must appear in the aptitude test.
